| A withered old witch sits before her fire, tossing in sticks and stones and god only knows what else. She spots you entering the clearing of the forest and her wrinkled mouth splits open with a toothy grin. "Gather round, ye lads and lasses! Come, sit by my roaring fire, and tell me a story! Whether it be a scary story, a spooky story, a creepy story, or even...perhaps...a true story!" She lets out a cackle and tosses something into the fire. The flames roar up to the midnight sky, cracking with autumnal colors.
Welcome to the Autumnal Campfire. Here, this old hag will be holding a contest. Let's see who can write the scariest story, the creepiest story, the spookiest story, and the most bone-chilling spine-tingling hair-raising tale ever seen in Midorea.
Would you like to know the rules? Of course you would.
* Entries must be submitted by October 30th
* Your entry must be at least two paragraphs long. The length is limitless; I assure you, this witch will read for days on end.
* Don't be afraid of scaring people. Scary stories are meant to be scary! Let those gory, creepy ideas FLY!
There will, of course, be a first, second, and third place. And of course, prizes!
Seeing as I'm short on cash and items, these prizes won't be all too wonderful, but I'll do my best.
First place: 50 gold
Second place: 30 gold
Third place: 10 gold
Runner up: 5 gold and 100 silver
So enjoy and don't be afraid of the witch. It's been years since she cast a spell upon someone. You shouldn't worry...much.
