Well world, unfortunately I have been attempting to draw again:
Link because it's fairly big
Basically, will appreciate feedback, whether good or bad.
(as long as the bad is constructive rather than just HURR U FAILZ)
A few things...

I already know I'm bad at hands so.. yeah xD

The face to me looks weird but not sure why.. Think the head needed to be less long.

I really like the style of the clothes but something looks.. off overall. And I can't point out what..
Maybe the waist.. Or are the legs not long enough...

The gold bits are supposed to look "shiny".. Like more metallic fabric than the rest of it.

The right leg should probably be bent more, because at the minute it just looks too short. Her foot was originally going to be resting on something but then I decided to get a glass of milk instead.

I hate shoes.

Left arm is too long. Or is the right arm too short...

Hm, let's see what I can do. Weeeee

Attempting to draw is good! If you never attempt it, you certainly will never get better. Jab

Hands... I hate them too...

I think the eyes are a bit too high. They should be around half way down the face normally, or lower for a younger person. So yeah, they should be lowered just a little, or the chin should be raised.

Not sure about the cloth thing... Maybe it's the hips or waist... The legs could be a bit longer, but then again, legs length and shape varies a lot according to style.

The gold looks nice. Happy
I've always find it hard to get the whole metallic-reflection thing.

Yup, the right leg looks a bit strange right now. Maybe if you'd just add some shadow below the knee, like if it was facing the ground and didn't get any direct lighting, it could give a little bit more depth to it. And maybe accentuating the area around the knee so the fabric looks folded or something.

Yeah, shoes... feeling like hands to me.

Left arm is too long, I think...

My fav anatomy/figure drawing/other art instruction books are Andrew Loomis' books (can be found online for free). They're simple to follow and have some great reference charts for proportions and things like that. Dunno if it can help, but I figured I'd share Wink

Thanks /o\ What you say makes sense, though I have a habit of not going back to drawings... So I'll probably use all that in a new one.
(I find when I pick at a drawing I'm not happy with for ages I make it worse somehow...)

Normally I always draw a wire-frame to start with, and I didn't with this one, which is probably why some of the proportions went somewhat wayward..
I do like the clothes though... May try and make something similar.

The more I look at my older ones the more I realize how crappy they are...
ANYWAY - New attempt, thought I'd share the joy with the world:
Link to picture.
Note - The hair is meant to be like that, not individual hairs... It just suited it more imo.
Again, any advice appreciated~
