It seems that a portal has been made between the Astral Realm and ours, but it’s rather suspicious that we haven’t met any intelligent spirits yet, isn’t it? Gather ‘round, and connect with them. Find out why they aren’t seeing us and whether they have something important to share.

Not every spirit will bluntly tell you what you want to know. Not every spirit will tell you anything useful at all. However, this is our only connection, so hang tight, and try to decode the messages for all of us to read. Each message will be up for 24 hours before I create a new one. If no one decodes it correctly, I’ll leave it up for an additional day (along with the new one) and make it easier to decode, but the value of the prize will decrease by one half.

I think this is a great idea, even if the first puzzle made my eyes bleed. I'm excited to see what else you've come up with Chu.

It's a nice break in the monotony and disappointment of fighting monsters. I've killed 21 of the little pests and only gotten one Eye. Luck has abandoned me tonight.
That and I ran into an Usagijan that was level 7 to my level 12 and totally had me creamed in hit points and matched me in attack and defense. I had to flee for my life.

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that you all will soon see that some spirits will come back to tell more of their stories.

Ugh, battling is such a bitch for this event. I finally got lucky and got 2 eyes from one kill a few minutes ago. Just changed my avatar to something more epic.

I actually made a drink at a party the other day and they wanted me to name it so I called it Midorea punch. When asked what it was I told them and several people said they would check it out if they have I have no idea.
