i was wondering... how come our characters dont have clothes or anything like a "newbie pack" to get started... also, can anyone give me pointers on how to defeat monsters, and which ones i should avoid?

That and where can i heal?

They do, you just have to do some hunting: Look in:

Bottoms
Under Tops
Vests
Under Bottoms
Shoes

And my advice for monsters: volleyballs. Volleyballs are great beginner weapons.

Indeed, as Keyla said, you just need to look under the good tabs on the avatar page.

As for fighting, I suggest looking at the Newcomers Help Center if you haven't done so before (there's a link in my signature for it). It contains all the info I normally repeated to newbies.
