| *Warning, contains bitter sarcasm*
Oh yes, how brilliant, completley foolproof. Let's go and burn a Quran, it's not like anyone will find it offensive or rascist! Aren't religious politics pleasant?
...
Eh, that priest in Florida gives us Christians a bad name. Not only that, but he could be hurting the troops across the world too. Jeez, what point is the guy trying to make? It only shows that he's some extremist.

| ahh, jollyjack is aweosme
also, i have to wonder if the thought never crosses this pastor's mind that there might be a reason his church only has 50 followers?
when i saw him on tv the first thing i thought was that he might as well have "Ignorant ****" written across his forehead.

| It's times like these that the words of late comedian Lenny Bruce seem to make more and more sense.
"Every day people are straying away from the church and going back to God. Really."
I almost wish I could know what he thought to accomplish by conducting such an act. Did he think it would send some kind of message? "Hey, you better stop or else we're going to burn more of your books!" While I personally may not agree with some of the things people have done in the name of the Islamic faith, it doesn't mean I'm going to go and burn their holy book. While I understand not everyone here is American, the pastor is. America has become a melting pot of not only various races, but various religions. Who is he to say that they are wrong for believing the way they do? Like I said, I may not agree, it is not my place to say. So, finally I'll close with another quote, and hope that what I've said has added to this conversation.
"He who learns but does not think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger!" -Confucius

| I've actually discussed this with people at my church, and take it from me they can be as preachy as it gets. But they know better than anyone that you don't win anyone to Christ (the primary goal of Christianity being to get more people saved that way) by bashing on them and demoralizing them. Christians need to live by a higher example.
Heck I changed my perception on Christianity because the guy who had invited me to hang out with him and his friends (from church) used to hate me with a burning passion and never spoke to me before. That's how you win people, not only in faith but in LIFE. Kindness. Peace. Think 'bout it.

I totally need to try that Faith, Peace, Kindness....if the students at my school followed these three words, it might not be such a ghetto school anymore!
As Christians, we should keep the Faith, hold on to Peace and reassure one another in Kindness...
(Sorry; this has nothing to do with the original post...)

| Okay, I think this guy is a nut and I don't condone book burning at all...
... But I do support the protest against the Ground Zero Mosque. I think it's in bad taste, but I would never insult someone else's faith by burning their holy book, or even threatening to just because of that.
