Where do I find the event? I don't know how or where to find events for avatar items. I'm sorry if this question has been answered a million times. :-(

Click "explore", and there will be a person's face to the right. Talk to him to kick off the event.

And click the banner at the top of the forum to get to the event forum. Or here, if you want. And most information about the event can be found in this thread.
