I have paint.net Ive seen tutorials on how to make stuff in layers but my question is how do you save your work mid-session so you can pull it all back up later like tomorrow or something and still have everything in its own layer? Or do you have to save each layer individually?

Never actually worked with Paint.net, but all softwares have a default file format that save your file as it is (i.e no compression, no flattening, no nothing you haven't done yourself). Normally, you can pick it up from a list or something when you save your file...

I'll go see if I can find it...

Edit:

Paint.NET (*.pdn)
Preserves layers, layer names and information, alpha values. Can only be used in Paint.NET, no image hosting services or image editors/viewers can support this file type, use only for later editing of the file.
