Character creation?

I am curious, with the seven races, do they determine your avatar base later on? I don't want to end up with one I end up disliking so I don't want to choose wrong! I just joined a few minutes ago and I'm already lost, so I apologize if my questions do not make any sense. Any information or help is appreciated! <3

the different coloured bases, like my one, are from items it doesnt matter which race you pick, you'll just get to choose from normal human skin tones at first :P

Like Ecco said, the different color bases come from items, and not from the tribe you choose. The tribe will only affect some of your character stats. And if you're not happy with your character in the end, you can always recreate a new one later on.
