| So which do you prefer black and white shadeing or colour?
Also unexpected question CG art or Traditional art?
I'm pretty much a black and white pencil artist because colour hates me XD
come on tell me ^^

| I love to shade in color, though most of what I do is black and white (out of laziness, I guess).
I'm more of a traditional art person, myself.
I'll post more in-depth answers later, but for now I've got to run to class.

| fair enough lol. I have an issue with colour I like using it when I can but when I do, the pic I'm doing just explodes into uber rubbishness. Pencil is my friend because thats what I have the most practise with probably because you can just pick up a pencil but you have to set up paint etc XD Wow that sounded really lazy ^^

| I can't draw well, so anything I draw is just line-art. I'm trying to work on my CG shading but it's hard, and I'm lazy. ><;;
But my favorite type of art to see is colored CG art, and if it's done well, I love colored traditional art. Black and white art is kind of hard to capture even though I love it in photographs.

| hmm well then.
ariKana: I steer clear of MS paint, it's not my friend XD But some pixels that I see now and again are very very beautiful.
I'm mainly a fan of soft pastel when it comes to traditional colour art though. I may not be that great at it but I like it nonetheless ^^
Fuzzey: I'm the same to be honest, but I only really ever draw people so i'm a black and white portrait artist ^^ Well...depending if you want to call my current ability art XD
Chu: I'm not sure. I must admit (and feel free to throw things at me for saying this) I'm not a CG artist fan. It can be very beautiful, smooth and stunning but I half think they have somewhat of an advantage with the undo tool. I know that traditional pencil artists can use a eraser but it's not the same you know. Also I think that black and white with little colour says a lot. Makes what ever the colour section is stand out that bit more which is cool. Sends a message without words in some cases.

| Oh no, I agree with you; they do seem to have it a bit more easy. I'm just that type of person with everything; I like modern art, modern furniture, ect. a bit more than the rest. I still have very high respect though for those who do traditional art; it's all beautiful if done by the right people.

| I way prefer traditional art.
For me it is very very very hard to come across ANY CG art that looks at least semi-original. CG art is visually appealing, but for me there's just a lack of humanity in it I guess. :3

Mmmm..soft pastels are nice to work with, but I tend to get covered in them after awhile. >_> Other than that, I love it! ^_^

| I am not a good artist, but I feel if I had a tablet I would be better then what I can scribble out with a pencil. Because of my limited resources, I have to saw BW pencil. Though I have gotten good at filling in the art on MS Paint. But not a lot of shading going on there xD

| If you want to get good at coloring on the computer I suggest a program called Gimp Kira. Just google it, you will find it.
It's like a free knock off of paint shop pro. :3 It's what I use if I get the crazy desire to practice CG coloring. XD

| In terms of CG program I think I liked Artrage the most because it does give the impression that you are actually painting. Even to the extent that if you overlay two colours they mix. I think it is possile to download a trial of it on the artrage website if anyone is interested.
LOL UR FACE: I have never heard that opinion before. Soo that's quite interesting. I sometimes feel that CG artists are more often than not anime or cartoony-ish artists, but I'm probably wrong in that opinion XD
ariKana: Getting covered in them is half the fun lol. Nah my nightmare media is definately oil paint. I ended up covered in them after my last art exam *shudder* ^^
Kira: A while ago I wanted a tablet too but that's because I thought I had to change my methods and media use to get orders in the shop I used to have on another site. I gave up when I saw how much they cost XD

| Hmm, I'd probably go with color over black and white, because I really do enjoy colors! But, black and white can be pretty powerful :3
As for trad art vs cg, I can't decide. They aren't really the same to me, so I can't compare them ^^;

| does greyscale count as B&W? because I love black and white, but shading is awesome too. So just wondering where greyscale fits...
