| So I had a light dinner and well seeing as dinner was at 6 and it is well past then I decided I should have a snack....
A Japanese friend of mine had been cleaning out his room and had food from home that he didn't want and had given some to me. Out of the stash there was a drink mix (Basically a sweet rice drink) some hard candy(more like vitamin C drops I need to finish translating it) and then this bean soup.
Having all ready tried the drink with tasty results I moved on to the bean soup and have since had less then tasty results. Ugg it kinda tastes good like the sweet bean past that fills many Japanese delights, but the after taste and my now slightly upset tummy say other wise >.<
*sigh* I now need to go clean up this less then tasty snack and find some thing better...
So GD have you ever had less then tasty snack making experiences?
Or have a better snack suggestion for me?
Edits
Have you too ever been fed strange foods by exchange students?

| My mommy says not to accept candy from strangers. :[
Seriously; I usually don't. xP Two friends of mine get gum from this chick, Ada, every day, and I always decline. It's rude for me to take something of theirs.
I need a snack, because the last time I ate was lunch time and it's now almost two am, but I'm not hungry.

| On of my siblings used to make flour and sugar mixed in with a bit of brown sugar and chocolate chips and then serve it to us...
I'd rather add the salt eggs and baking soda to make cookies....
its was okay, we needed a lot of water though.

| I've BEEN a foreign exchange student, it's pretty crazy. But because of my own roots, it wasn't too strange for the food.
I went to Mexico last year for about a month or so to earn a few more college credits, it was FANTASTIC. I adored it, even though I came back with scaring from the sunburns.
The food was awesome, except for like, some of the enchiladas I would be served. I forgot what it was called, but the chile sauce that was on it was green. It was weird, tasted sour, but I liked it. It was green. <3

| @Lil Bit First off your username reminds me of the play "How I learned to Drive" XP
Second Exchange students for the win! I spent last year in Japan and then came home to a French Exchange student that was living with us, been a very multicultural year.
Green and sour interesting combo. Vinegar of sorts perhaps? My host mum used to put vinegar in to the sauce we used for giyoza to make it sour.
Mexico sounds like it would be a fun place to study sun burns aside.
@Urboros ugg I would have to go with the cookies too or just the cookie dough.

| When my sister's Japanese boyfriend found out that I am a very adventurous eater and will try almost everything, he delighted in bringing me weird little tidbits and watching my reactions.
One of the worst was this drink that tasted like watery grape Jell-O. It was NARSTY and I'll be that he's still laughing about it.

| My dad always says that I am going to die because I dont eat enough. I am fat enough in fact I have quite a belly. My dad is very fat however and I think he wants company. Anyways, I had somem popcorn and I melted chocolate one time for a snack and put it on it. It wasnt the best snack. It didnt taste as good as I was hoping that it would.
Has anyone ever tried something like that?
One snack that I did like however, was melted chocolate and sugar cones. yum yum.

| When I was little, I tried using diced tomatoes with some really gross cheese to make rotel cheesedip. Back then I didn't realize that wasn't the kind of foods you were supposed to use it for.
Needless to say, it was nasty in the end.
And yesss. I love that. My buddy had someone from Berlin (Irony there), and another from.. I forget what Chinese province. It was awesome.

| My boyfriend is Japanese and one of the times he came to visit he brought some stuff to snack on. One of the things he brought was some kind of shrimp flavored crackers or something like that. I can't remember exactly what they were. They sounded weird. XD He decided he didn't even want them and left them here. Now I'm not a fan of seafood to begin with, even shrimp. I've eaten a shrimp here and there occasionally but I'm just not a seafood fan. I was somewhat curious about these weird things though. XD Well my dad ended up opening the bag to try one and they just reeked of fish smell. So I quickly decided I didn't want to try those things afterall. My dad tried one though and I could tell he didn't care for it at all. I really wonder how my boyfriend could eat those... Maybe that's why he left them here instead of eating them. D: Not only that, but not long back he mentioned to me that he's not real big on seafood either! XD

| Oh s'mores are perfect for snacking on, a bit messy but worth it, requires watching the toaster oven if you don't have an open flame.
I've got a problem with those Japanese candies I end up eating all of them without realizing it.
