| Raki hesitated. A young wife...a young wife meant an heir. But if she was unfaithful, he couldn't be sure any children she had would be his. On the other hand, being faithful meant nothing if she was too old to have children.
Eventually, he spoke slowly. '...You choose, Lady,' Raki said. 'It's not my choice to make.'

'You...' he breathed. 'Will you be...?' He couldn't quite finish his sentence.

| Raki felt his mind go numb again, but it took him a second to get over the shock this time. His eyes widened. 'You are young?' he asked. 'Were you testing me? Strangely, he didn't feel angry. He was mostly impressed. Sorcha must be intelligent if she planned this all out.
