| Oh I hate that. But I always do it.
I have half-read books lying all over the place, waiting patiently for me to return.
I finally finished my stack two days ago, actually. I'm very proud of myself.

| Dude, I'm proud of you too! (: There's something really satisfying about finishing a book you've been reading off and on for a while.
Like, "Finally, I finished that book."
It's even better if you like the ending! [unlike 1984 where I hated the ending D:]

| It is quite disappointing, isn't it? Sad, because the book itself is good (at least to me).
I judge a good ending, most of the time, on whether or not I could predict it. If the ending surprises me, it gets huge brownie points, and I usually end up loving the book to bits and pieces.

| But then again, you can be surprised by an ending in bad ways, too! Like, "oh man where did THAT come from?"
But I see what you mean. Personally, I judge a books ending by whether or not it's plausible and how effectively it affects the rest of the story. (:

| AHAHAH.
Yes.
But, I have an uncanny knack for guessing the endings of things. So, whether it's bad or good, I'll love it if I don't see it coming.
But your way makes more sense.

| I do it for movies too. Once I was watching a movie with my step-dad and I said what i thought was going to happen an hour before the end of the movie and he turned off the TV because I got it completly correct. lol.
Well, you're lucky I guess.

| Yeah it does. But sometimes when you guess it perfectly it becomes really entertaining, right?

I try to uess who the winner is on game shows too and most of the time I guess right. It is fun to find out you guessed right.

| I'm always wrong D: But I think it's because I overthink things sometimes.
Aaandd too many times I've jumped to the conclusion that 'it must be the VICTIM who did it! to...themselves >>'

That's interesting. I don't think I've ever come to that particular conclusion. But I suppose it is possible in some cases, right?

| The day when that actually happens on a show, I'll be so happy Y^Y
How do you feel about poetry? I read a really nice poem today, let me share it with chu (:
Donald Justice - Men At Forty
Men at forty
Learn to close softly
The doors to rooms they will not be
Coming back to.
At rest on a stair landing,
They feel it
Moving beneath them now like the deck of a ship,
Though the swell is gentle.
And deep in mirrors
They rediscover
The face of the boy as he practices tying
His father's tie there in secret
And the face of that father,
Still warm with the mystery of lather.
They are more fathers than sons themselves now.
Something is filling them, something
That is like the twilight sound
Of the crickets, immense,
Filling the woods at the foot of the slope
Behind their mortgaged houses.

| That's not bad.
I'm not really a poetry person, though I do like Poe, T.S. Elliott, and Caroll.
But I think I avoid poetry because I'm so bad at writing it myself. XD
