LadyHarpy and Keeglatte

[Keeglatte]

She sighed and pulled up the sleeping bag from under Sid. "Hurry, or I'll leave you here for the Quigs." She said, shuddering at the thought of the inhuman creatures that roamed many forests, eating or mauling anything that stood against it.

Sid stood and stretched some more.

"I'm up."

[Keeglatte]

Lylyd nodded and turned. "Good, now hurry!" She said as she started to head for the trail and checked her compass, nodding to herself.

Sid quickly slipped on her shoes and ran after Lylyd.

[Keeglatte]

As they headed for the end of the forest, Lylyd calmed down a bit. "There," She pointed in the towns direction, "Is the town we're headed for." She said, cheerfully.

"Why?" Sid asked.

[Keeglatte]

She shrugged. "It's the nearest town I haven't been to. I'm a wanderer, you see." She said with a fake smile. "It's when you've been pretty much kicked out of your own town, forced to travel, I guess." She said, leaving the forest and heading for the nearing town.

Sid followed after her.

"Then why not settle in the new town?"

[Keeglatte]

Lylyd sighed. "I wish, but it's against the Wanderers oath. See?" She showed Sid a small tattoo on the back of her wrist that said Wanderer in capitol letters. "I have to show them everytime I look for work or a house, and they pretty much boot me out of the place. So I just look for a small job to get me food to eat. You on the otherhand, still have a chance to live a normal life."

Sid gave a hallow laugh.

"I doubt it."

[Keeglatte]

She frowned as they walked. "Why not? At least you're not branded. I mean, even if you're not exactly human, you still have a chance for a normal life." She said. "Don't worry, I know." She said before Sid could ask about the whole shadow thing.

Sid narrowed her eyes at Lylyd for a moment before looking ahead.

[Keeglatte]

Lylyd shrugged. "Can't blame me you know, you're the one going around terrorizing the populace and all. I only saw what you could do earlier, when the people accused you or whatever it was they were doing, those heathens!" She grumbled as they came up to the towns entrance.

Sid was quiet for a moment.

"They are all the same, it does not matter where I stay."

[Keeglatte]

She shrugged. "Oh well, it's your choice in what you do. Here we are!" Lylyd said, coming up to the entrance of the town. 'Sid, welcome to Mechstown!" The town was huge, and it was full of pipes and steam vents. There were many steam-powered clanks and other things among the actual living people.
