| Spicy food rocks. I'm not such a fan of sauces, not because they don't taste awesome, but because they drown out the flavour of whatever else it is that I'm eating it with (unless it's garden burger, the taste of which I think is best drowned out).
I read through the first few posts, but I haven't read through well enough to notice - has anyone tried Thai, Indian or Nepali? Walk in and ask for 'hot'. Bliss.
EDIT: Kerryfox mentioned Indian, I noticed And Chinese, Korean or Taiwanese food as well - like she said, the real deal is real spicy.
I guess I'm advocating Asian food! It's a lot spicier than any Mexican I've tried so far, but that's probably because I haven't had genuine Mexican, maybe?
Alsoo... I've heard say that spicy food is good for hot weather because eating it makes you sweat and gets your body to cool down. And I agree - when the spice is within your tolerance limit, it IS pleasurable on the way down. Caution, though - your tastebuds might feel fine, but if your stomach isn't perfectly healthy, a lot of spicy food can give you some serious trouble.
