| I'm not a very good lurker, seeing as when waved to I come out. A true lurker would disappear until his/her subject looks away, then resumes lurking.

| Maybe I can assist, for I am a professional ninja and part time lurker. Ninjas are never seen (ever) when ninjaing, and yes, they usually do wear black. Ninjas are technically assassins, however when not on a mission, do not ninja around, and can be seen in a crowd, however, are impossible to identify as ninjas.
LURKERS on the other hand, are often seen, much like in the situation I described above; seen in the corner of the subject's eyes, then melt away when brought into focus. Lurkers often wear brown trenchcoats, used for walking around (whereas ninjas rarely use the streets), and lurkers are mostly harmless. They do not assassinate, only lurk. Lurkers, unlike ninjas, cannot stop lurking; it is not a job, it is an identity. The only way to turn off the lurkiness is to be something else BEFORE training to be a lurker, as I have.

Yeah. I'm normally a lurker as well...simply because I either a) am not sure whether to reply/post or b) because I feel like anything I'd have to contribute to the discussion at hand has already been said and so posting would be a moot point ^^;
But, during events, I tend to un-lurk. For the most part, anyway. I still have to kick myself occasionally and be like "hello. Event. MAKE WITH THE TALKY".
