The manner caught flames and the queen gave her oder. Rocks were thrown into the victorian style windows. Navar and Igo launched out and lept onto the attackers and ripped their throats. "Navar" Igo cried "there are too many"
Navar snarled and "We need smudge" he growled as he threw an attacker to the side of him.

Ramiel drew his sword and looked at Grandal. "I am ready" He said with a sharp hiss. The grandal looked over at Kallista and as he lept to her Ramiel Shoved his blade into its mouth. "Kallista you must go, hide in the castle torrents" he said as he killed another leaping Grandall.

Autakis A voice said as he entered the battle area. "Nina i do not [/i] deserve your pitty" Autakis my home, it is under attack "Then to make it up to you to ask for your redemtion I will help your family. " Autakis called for a black stalion of flames and jumped onto his back. He clicked its tongue and black firy wings sprang out and it flew to the caslt. "I'll get smudge on the way"

Kallista looked in surprise as the blade potruded from the back of the head. She gave Ramiel one last smile with worry and affection both balanced in it.

'I don't know,' said Smudge. 'We started rebelling soon after your father started ignoring his responsibilities, and that was after his wife died.'
Smudge looked up as he heard wing-beats. A horse made of flames came into view above them and he saw his brother on its back, to his surprise. So, he's learnt a few new tricks. But what is he doing here?

Ramiel forced a few of the gordans who sliped through back and sealed the door. "Barrackad the windows 'he called to Navar and Igo. They other one swho fought lay slain outside. Smoke rose over Nina's pictur int the room and Ramiel sighed and his his face in his hands. "I failed as a king and as a lover" he sobbed. Navar and Igo looked at him in pity. "and a father,.."

"Dad!" Anson yelled Ramiel ran to a window
"Anson get up here before you get captured." his father yelled bittetrly now. In one clean sweep Anson was on the castle window.
"Hi dad"
"Why are you not with Sigrid safe" he growled.
"I fight with my father"

Smudge stroked Sigrid's hair gently. 'I'm sorry, love. I must go. Would you rather see your father die?' He let go of her and cautiously climbed onto his brother's fiery horse.

Kallista sat in the cave, with the other women, children and elders, staring out and hoping they wouldn't find them. She saw smoke in the distance and sincerely hoped it wasn't from the castle.

Luccia stared at her feet angrily. No one would tell her what to do. She quickly went to her tent, put on her armor and disguised herself as a man. She belted her sword on and quickly slipped away hoping no one would notice.

Autakis landed his steed on the caslte roof and looked down as the swarm who tried to climb to a window. "This is the place" he said as he slipped threw an open window. The horse jumped off after Smudge go tof


Sigrid led the others away from the grated city and the rebel camp keeing order, helping straglers. "Where is Luccia" she finnaly asked a travler who only shook her head.

Anson grimaced as another arroww hit his arm, Ramiel was quick to throw ihm a viel of herbs. "There are too many" Anson gapped.

"We must be strong son" Ramiel yelled as he threw spells of flames at the window. "For your mother we mu-" Ramiel froze at the sudden sight of autakis. "Why are you here" he spat disguistedly at him.

Autakis shruged and cut off the head of a gorgon. "Lets let old timnes rest old man" he said

Anson looked at the two. "Father so you two know eachother?"

Ramiel sighes and pushed something in front of the window as Smudge goes in. "Long story my son...that for another day" He looked ta smudge. "You left my daughter alone?" he raised an eyebrowe

'Don't worry,' said Smudge, 'she is well hidden. I know of a good hiding-place that no one is likely to find.' He unsheathed his sword and went to the windows, cutting the ropes and watching as the men climbing up them fell. He then got out his bow and started shooting at the men trying to get in through the front gates.

Luccia and the horse soared across the green fields. She could see the soldiers, and the castle up high. She moved her horse behind an abandoned stone wall that looked like it used to belong to a house long ago. From there she started shooting.

Anson hit the ground, and winced standing up and yanked the arrow from his arm. “Father they are over powering the main gaurds, I am going to take the main entrance” he said as he ran out. “Autakis I do no twant yor help”
“Autakis leave” Ramiel growled as they pushed a grodon over the wndow seal./
“I’m sorry Ramiel!” he said as he stabbed a Gordon
Ramiel winced and pulled the sword to his throat.”You killed the one thing I held most dear to my heart” Autakis grimmaced.
“She was standing in front of the enemy, you and I both know I had no choice”
The room went silent, everything stood still. “no life has a reason to be taken….” Ramiel muted as he lowered his weapon. “ I lived fordecades without my soulmate, becase u had ‘no choice’ but to stab her.”
“You don’t think it doesn’t haunt me Ramiel?” He said looking intently at him. Ramiel growled. “She asked me too….. Please for my love I will hold the dark king hurry and strike “I was asked to by her while she held down the man who would have killed you”
“Leier!” Ramiel yealled and Autakis shoved him. “She loved life.”
“she love you more” Autakis looked at his brother silently, hewould have heard the whole thing, and now know who started theirwar.

Smudge looked at his brother in surprise. But not anger. His brother had done what he had thought best, which had been really rare from him until recently. 'Why did you never tell me how the spark appeared that set the thing on fire?'

Autakis grimmaced. "I was not proud of what i did, because i loved her too" he loked at ramiel. "But i knew she loved him, and I wanted to keep their love strong, but i failed"

Smudge put a hand on Autakis's shoulder. 'Brother, let us forget about past sorrows. Today we must fight. Whether we win or lose, it does not matter, you shall always be my brother.'

Autakis growled and then looked at his brother solemly. "thank you my breatheren " He said as he looked at the window. "Let us fight.

Smudge looked down. They had managed to get past the front door now.

Luccia ran up closer to the castle. They had managed to take down the large wooden door. She shot at another man at the back. The rest didn't notice. They were too busy getting in and probably slaughtering everything in their path.

Smudge nodded. He knew his brother well enough to know that he would be able to manage on his own. And if things got too tough, he always managed to find a way of escaping. Smudge jumped out of the window, landing in a carefully trimmed bush, squashing it. A surprised gardener looked at him.
