Avatar: Last Airbender and Korra

I've been watching Legend of Korra. Has the newest episode come out yet?

Episodes air every Saturday. The latest one that has come out is episode 9. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it !! ;D

So yeah, apparently the season finale is next week, in an epic one hour special.

Korra should be officially released in Canada recently, or soon. Not that it matters to me since I wouldn't watch it anyways with all the commercials.

And yes, I've seen episode 9. I couldn't believe there was only one more episode after watching it. They could definitely stretch it out to 24, or however many episodes per season the original avatar had. I'd be especially interested in learning more about what happened to Aang after he defeated the fire lord.

They most likely wont kill her, but what can Lin do now. What is Tahno even doing xD

But GAWD. If Toph were still alive, Amon would be dead. No doubt of it. I kinda feel bad for Bolin, being the Team Avatar's resident earthbender. I mean, he's good, but he doesn't compare to Toph.

Last episode tyme :U

I had seen it, it was awesome-ish.

I feel the action was good, but a lot of things felt off.

I feel that Amon was really the guy attacked by firebending, and who used the chi blocking to turn of bending. The catch is the series is short and they wanted to wrap it up, so came up with an easier to churn out story to animate.

For one, him being Tarlok's brother, weird. And bloodbending? I know he wanted to conquer Republic City in his dad's stead, but the anti-bending thing, it felt so real.

Also if it was bloodbending, why did he have to do the forehead tap? He could have looked like the avatar and done head and chest, or just touched them. Or stood there and chanted like a madman since he can bloodbend without using body movement, and just his mind.

I think it WAS a chi thing, but they fudged it later. Especially since Yakone didn't take away bending, Katara couldn't undo it. How does bloodbending take away bending?

You'd give them a seizure or severe brain peices. With neuroscience today, it's safe to say he'd make you mentally retarded before he found a specific bending lobe in your brain.

Then his name...Amon was awesome...Noatok...kinda lame :U
Nothing relevent really to the quality of the show, just my opinion.

Also, loved Iroh, he rocked hard. And Mako zapping Amon? That was awesome too!

One thing I didn't like as much...

So much hate for the couples in this show. Never understood how Mako and Korra got the hots for one another anyway. No reasoning other then they though each other /looked/ hot, nothing else.

Episode gets my 7/10. It was good, but the show only illustrated some flaws the series had moreso than usual, such as romance, or the semi-lame way it diffused the big Amon mystery...

ALSO, I DO NOT PEDDLE THIS AS FACT, OR THAT WHAT I SAID WAS LAME IS IN FACT LAME. I MERELY EXPRESS A VIEWPOINT.

yeaaahhh i thought the very end was kinda cool (besides the romance, i agree) but im hoping they do a little better next season -_-

Same. I mean seriously, all the cool action, and the beginning looked like well paced story.

But then it sort of lost it...

Hopefully they approve a longer second season, and sort of push better.

i think i read that the second would be 2 episodes longer....so 14 in all. i dont even know what they can do though....

I agree, it doesn't seem like there's much else left to explore. Except korra and mako's relationship. Ugh...

Maybe I'm being impatient, but where is the epic war that we experienced last time. I can't wait for the scale of the events to expand and incorporate the rest of the world.

i dont like Mako, i actually liked Asami, and i dont like how he just sort of dumped her for Korra. i mean, Korra's cool, but the non-benders are pretty badass themselves *is a Sokka and Tai Li fan*
