Omg, rant thread.... I've found a home.

One thing that drives me mad, I'm a volunteer helper on an MMO, I won't mention names in-case it seems like I'm advertising.
But it drives me mad, like people here are always really helpful, and I always tried to be the same for people on there....
But instead of saying thanks ever, they just say:
"o.. u haev moneys pl0x?"
"can giv me free pet plzplzplzplz?"

I just spent the last half hour helping you get used to the game, I earned this money myself so you can too, now get lost before I smite you Dx

Just one of a many things that annoy me, I love helping people, and I do give items to some people that are my friends, but too many people on that game make alternates now just to beg, so.. Bah >_<

Oh, man Kupsy. That bites. I play a handful of those type of games and I continually have people hounding me for the same thing. One of them had the nerve to demand that I pay for their subscription because I had helped them with a quest. How does that even make sense?

It's called Dream of Mirror Online... I actually have the same Forum name on there, but yeah...

One of the most epic downfalls EVER is that they have a board in-game that shows statistics, such as how many monsters killed, how many times died, top 100 for the whole server.... But it also has money. -_-;

So my name got on that board after I sold a load of old costumes I didn't want anymore, I instantly get PMs from people asking for money or items, it was so annoying..

Now I just tell them "If I gave money to everyone who asked I'd be broke by now." which usually shuts them up, though one of them threatened to report me for being a bad helper because I didn't give them money.

I said I'd report them for harassment if they didn't stop and they stopped.
And so the world goes on xD

Yeah, idiots are one of the reason why I rarely play MMO now. I mean, I don't mind helping people, I in fact do it most of the time, but I don't think giving them piles of money and items is really helpful, and it can get pretty annoying when you're just trying to play your game.

I haven't played Dream of Mirror since the beta lol Was nice though, but my computer didn't like it as much as I did... It's a bit strange that they show who has the most money though... It's like putting a giant "Everyone go beg at that person!" sign above your head...

Yep, pretty much...
People I'd never met were just pming me after getting my name off there, loads of people actually hide all their gold on a mule now and have their mule set to "Appear Offline" whenever they're on...

Still (and I guess this is another rant?) major flaw with that game is that there are loads of pink costumes for girls and I'd really rather have something green or blue... There are some blue, but the only green costumes looks like someone sneezed at them o_O

I'd go and yell at costume designers if I could... We needs more greens~
Nice thing about being here, all the colours are there and I can make my own choice for once ^-^

I have noticed that in many games. The female costumes are overly feminine and would have no combat value at all in the real world. The males have costumes that are more often than not awesome to look at and would be fairly useful in real combat. And/or the female avatars themselves are, hmm... well endowed? I don't know very many women that look like that. I sure as heck don't. And I don't want to either.

In a sense, this game is created by guys that never had a girlfriend and sold to guys that don't have one either and this is the closest thing they'll ever get to one. (Oh wow, zing! That was rude of me. Sorry.) But give me a break.

I am actually female in real life, though most people naturally assume I'm a guy anyway just because they still go by that old "There are no women on the internet" type of thinking...

On a lot of old games I would actually use male characters because the female ones were just far too revealing and horrible...
I wanted to play the game seriously, not have some guys on the internet going:
"Heyy, I like your smexy pixels"
">_> Get away from me"
"Ooo, feisty hotty"
"........ -_-.."
*Use teleport item and leave*

Domo was the only game in a long time I'd used a female character on, took some long searching to get a costume that actually looked cool, not pervy...

I knew I should've picked a fighter to start with, this is really tough...

Problem is, it is still mostly guys that play games lol...
I went upstairs to ask my brother if I could borrow his phone charger I lost mine looooong ago...)
And he was just like o_o .... At his screen, so I look around at the screen, and of course, there's the next big-boobed woman character on the screen.
I was talking to him, no response.
Threw a cushion at him and took the charger anyway. -_-;
Unfortunately it seems to be a good money spinner for 'em, seeing as he bought the game a week later (that was only a Demo)

Yeah. Mages are connon fodder until they get a bazillion levels or something like that. They might get some really cool spells, but damn it takes a long time to get them. Mostly because you're to busy dying.
