"Lola is my name, what is yours?"

Lola then giggled.

"Aw, your shy! Sorry, I'm just used to being half undressed around men. It's not like it would cover up much in the condition it is in anyway." She said as she pointed over to the white blood covered dress full of holes.

"Erm...my name is Scythe. Nice to meet you, Lola." He offered her a smile, but still wouldn't look directly at her. He wondered what she meant by saying she was used to being half naked. But it was true, her outfit was mostly ruined. "Well, I would offer a cloak if I had one...would a wrap to wrap around your...err...umm...would a wrap do? I might have a spare somewhere..."

He was a little uncertain. Most of the women of his race were covered up, even if only barely so. Some were known to walk around without anything. Still, Lola was a stranger to him and he didn't want to seem rude by staring. He felt like a prude, but he dug around in a pouch he carried at his side, looking for a wrap.

Lola smiled and nodded her head.

"If you have one to spare, that would be great!"

Lola then turne to the pixie working on her hair. It had gotten most of the blood out had taken the liberty to also brush what it had cleaned. Lola pulled out a small seed and handed it to the pixie.

"For your hard work."

The pixie then flew back over to the water and sank back in.

Scythe managed to pull out a thick and long piece of soft deerhind, which he had cured himself, and handed it shyly to Lola. "There you go...I hope that works..." He murmered, watching the faerie go back into the water. Who knew this watering hole had faeries and giant crocodiles?

He took a few steps away from the woman to let her dress herself, his tail flicking back and forth slowly. It would be dawn soon and dawn presented a whole different set of dangers. "So...where were you headed, Lola? Maybe I could help you get there..." He offered good naturedly. He knew she could take care of herself, but he figured she might enjoy some company.

Lola took the skin happily and quickly tied it around her cheast to cover herself. She the went over to her dress and picked it up. She walked over to the water once again dipped her dress in before wringing it out.

"I'm not really going anywhere, I just like to travel."

Lola turned to Scythe and smiled

"I actually came to the area with the intention of setting down and building a house."

Once it was safe to actually look at her again, Scythe turned back around, his ears flicking at her words. "A house, eh? Well, the jungle here isn't a good place but I know of a few open fields. Still, this land is a dangerous one...you thought that crocodile was huge, wait til you see the grazers of the grasslands." Why anyone would seek this place out to build a house he didn't know. His people lived in caves in the nearby mountain, and even those were dangerous. The nearby mountain also happened to to be a currently inactive volcano. But Scythe had often wondered what would happen should the volcano awaken...

Shrugged a bit, his feathered tail gave a flick. It seemed she didn't really need his help, and he wasn't sure if she'd even listen to his warnings. She appeared to be a rather stubborn, hard-headed woman. But...weren't women always that way? It would be wise to listen to him, if only because he knew this land and she was a stranger here. If it had been the opposite way, he would listen to her advice.

Lola turned to face Scythe, a strange gleam in her eye.

"Who said I was planning to build the house on the ground?"

Lola then pulled out the same brown bag from before out of nowhere and pulled out a thread and needle

"However, I do have to say that this place might be to much for me to handle. I might need to invest in some fighting lessons before trying to live here." She said, mostly speaking to herself. She took a seat on a near by log and started to mend her dress.

Scythe chuckled good naturedly. "So, you'll build in the trees? I don't know...we have the occasional large predator here as well...big, sharp teeth. Nasty attitudes. Usually dumb." He grinned a bit, watching her. She was a strange one, just sitting in some random forest and mending her dress. Maybe she could take care of herself and didn't care if some beastie showed up to eat her. It seemed foolish to him, but he was a hunter and didn't usually let his guard down. Maybe it was normal for her kind?

Shrugging a little, he leaned casually against a tree, his tail flicking over to a night-blooming flower, picking it with the prehensile appendage. He admired the flower a moment, deep in thought.

Lola glanced up at Scythe to answer his question but the flower he was holding caught it first.

"What is that?" She asked as she set her dress to the side and stood up. She walked over to Scythe and admired the flower with soft oo's and aah's.

((Whoops, screw up on my part. I said there were no flowers! LoL! We'll just say there are only a few!!))

Scythe smiled a little at her reaction and his tail lifted to hand her the flower. "My kind call it a Moon Blossom. It only blooms under the light of the moon." The flower was a soft pearly pink color and smelled sweet. "It is given as a gift to the females of my kind by the male who wants to be her mate during a festival we celebrate." He grinned at little at her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "They are rather rare."

Lola took the flower into her hand and stroked one of the petals gently. A mischievous grim fell onto her face at the mention of the flower's meaning.

"Well I'm flattered really but I'm not currently looking to be in a relationship. Maybe another time." She said slyly, batting her eyelashes.

Scythe laughed at that. "You, my dear, are not one of my species, so it doesn't count!" He stated a-matter-o-factly, his tone playful. "Why so interested in flowers anyways?" He asked, curious. His sea-green eyes were friendly as he asked. "I mean, if you like them so much, I know of a field filled with Moon Blossoms. If you want to see them, we'd best hurry. It'll be daylight soon."

"Well, I've always had a thing for flowers, ever since i was little. So I'll take you up on the offer."

Lola turned toward the dead crocodile and the gem consuming it.

"Hey Shmee, get over here!"

The gem floated over spotted in blood.

"You rang?"

"Look, I'm going with Scythe here to check out some flowers. Watch my stuff and make sure none of it goes missing."

"Fine but just don't get yourself killed."

Lola waved off the gem and set her dress down with her other things before facing Scythe.

"Lead the way good sir."

Scythe smirked a bit. "Are you sure you trust me to protect you, Miss Lola? Or perhaps you have more tricks up your sleeves than just your magicked gem?" The raptor-like creature chuckled and smiled warmly to her. "Follow me!"

He turned and led the way back into the forest, his long tail flicking back and forth as he walked. He was amazingly graceful and silent as he moved along an unknown path. He seemed to know the way, however, as he led with great confidence.

After a few minutes of walking, he stepped aside to let her see where he had led her. There was a large field before her, filled with Moon Blossoms. The moon shone down through the clearing, lighting up the whole field, giving it a glowing appearance. "Ah, ah. See? What did I tell you?"

"I may look weak but I'm certain that i can handle any thing this forest can throw at me."

Lola followed Scythe the best she could, often tripping where he glided. When he stepped aside for her to see her mouth dropped in aw at the scene before her. She stepped forward gingerly and knelt down to pick one. She held it in her hand with great care and sniffed the sweet bloom. She let out a relaxed sigh and turned to Scythe, her cheeks turned pink from the glow of the flower against her face.

"Thank you, this is very beautiful."
