As the girl concentrated, her magic had the look of something they hadn't seen in years. Five years to be exact. Skaeth remembered the power they possessed and saw it in this girl.

"You're doing it... look," the naga scanned around the cave to see magic fluttering around and lighting up the darkness. It swam around the troll and major, glided down across the elf, then hit the ceiling and much was bright for about two seconds before it died out. "that was wonderful!" Skaeth grinned. They had once been the most powerful magic worker in the under city, maybe it was time to take on a protege.

Tay stumbled up against the wall as Kruth'al started smacking the hammer into the little rock creature. She took the moment to look at the dwarf. There was a belt of grenades around its lumpy waist...which gave her an idea.

"Kruth'al!" she called out. "Hit it one more time, as hard as you can!"

Finally feeling stable, Relgan drew his sword and faced the fray in front of him. He didn't know which of these uncouth brutes wrecked his face, so he determined that the best option was just to take out as many as he could in hopes that he got the culprit. He gave his blade a few quick flourishes and stepped towards the crazed combat.

Seeing a dwarf nearby, he took his rapier and did his best to pierce the creature's gut. Maybe harm a few vitals while he was at it.

Nami had no idea what to do she had never been in a fight so chaotic well to be honest she had never really been in a fight. she decided to just stab at the dwarf that was fighting closest to her which happened to be the same one that the elf was stabbing at. She had no idea if at they were doing would even work but it had to be better than standing around doing nothing.

The hammer strikes certainly distracted the dwarf, making it wince, although it made no noise of pain so it was difficult to say if it was actually hurt. It didn't anger the dwarf either, because the dwarves (like everyone) had devolved to an utter calm.

The sword and dagger that punched through the rock armor skin, however, clearly hurt. Whether or not there's any significant damage is indiscernable, though, because it cetainly doesn't slow down. The dwarf flinched away and shifts its focus onto the elf, O'Toole, whose blade went deeper than the dagger had. It swung the club, then the fist, the former aiming low at the elf's shins, and the latter at the center of body mass: the chest.

Morinth, twenty or so feet away was fighting with the dwarf, simultaneously wielding dagger and stun gun, making slow progress, but otherwise unharmed.

Kruth'al could finnaly breathe properly with that creature off of his torso. Getting to his feet as quickly as he could, he glanced in the direction the dwarf had gone. Shaking his head slighlty, trying to clear the cobwebs that were forming, he knew he would not be long for this fight. Might as well make use of what I have left He thought to himself.

Screaming with rage, he thundered toward where the elf and dwarf were fighting. Lifting his war-hammer over his head he swung downard with all of his strength on the dwarf's head.

While yes, Relgan did have the honor of being the two-time champion of the 2nd street dueling club back in the undercity. He had never used his skills anywhere beyond the confines of home. And he had never used them while heavily injured. Right now, though, adrenaline was fueling him.

Relgan used some fancy footwork and an upper body dodge to avoid the dwarf's punches, and then jabbed again, this time higher in the chest. It seemed as if the rapier was really hurting.

Quickly, Tay concentrated on the dwarf's belt and removed the pin from a grenade. "Everybody down, Relgan, Kruth'al back away!" Hopefully the blows from the rapier and the hammer would distract the dwarf long enough that it wouldn't advance on anyone and potentially explode all over them. As for herself, Tay distanced herself as much as she could from the impending explosion.

Nami heard the yell about backing away from the dwarf but wasn't sure why. She decided to make another attempt at stabbing it again seeing as it seemed to have some effect on it. She had just been lucky it hadn't come after her.

Despite the rather extreme force that struck the dwarf over the head, it barely seemed to move the rock creature. Relgan's rapier thrust skated over the stony armor as the dwarf turned his shoulders, but Nami's dagger bit deep into its back. In fact, the dagger scraped through armored skin, rocky flesh, and into the granite spine, paralyzing it. Immediately, the dwarf dropped to its knees, then down on its face.

Relgan and Kruth'al manage to dive away soon enough, but Nami is unfortunate enough to...ignore that particular instricution. Luckily for her, though, the dwarf fell right on top of the grenade belt, so his body took most of the blast for her, which was considerable seeing as it caught the other grenades in the explosion. Nami is tossed directly upward, into the cave ceiling, then falls back down into the small crater full of dwarf guts. She's got some nasty burns, probably a concussion, and definite unconsciousness.

Not too far away, Morinth has gained the upper hand over her opponent, and is currently forcing thousands of volts of electricty through his body. In a flash, she cuts the current, vaults over him, and spins before he can react. Her dagger point expertly finds the hollow in the back of his skull and slides in smoothly, and the dwarf topples over, well and thoroughly dead.

Breathing hard, Morinth glances over at her group, and her face grows stony. She strides over, rolls Nami over with her foot, and checks a pulse. After a moment, she nods and pulls out the first aid kit from her belt and gets to work.

"No one keel over just yet," she orders, "We're only pausing here for a moment, then we need to keep moving."

Skaeth heard the noise, buta again, felt nothing. Had they any flesh, they would have thrown themself in front of the cowering girl, but they could only watch helplessly.

When the blast was over, they looked at the group and asked, timidly "everyone okay? I feel no death...so I assume youre alive."

"No one keel over." Relgan huffed. "Much easier said than done." He put his hand back on his blood-covered face and eye. He still couldn't see at all. "Strange..." he murmured, rubbing his eye for the umpteenth time, "I still can't see out of my right eye."

Then Relgan noticed something that he hadn't noticed at all during the fight- his eyelid sunk in a little more than it should have. "Could someone come over here? I think there's something wrong with my eye, and I can't quite see my own face."

Skaeth, who was undamaged, hovered over. They took a good long look at it before saying, sternly "well, the important thing to remember is all the good times you had with that eye. It may be gone now, but it will always be in your heart, right?"

They weren't trying to sound sarcastic, but it had been a while since they had to comfort someone.

Relgan sputtered out a good line of stammered gibberish before shoutng "...GONE?" He used all of his willpower and whatever was left of the strange calmness to keep himself from fainting from this newfound shock. Shakliy, he took his finger to his open right eye, and sure enough, didn't feel much of anything there. Remnants of things, yes, but the eye that was supposed to be there... wasnt.

There was no controlling it at this point. He straight-up fainted.

Ava scurried further down the corner on her hands and knees when she heard a voice say to get back. She dove onto her stomach, and clapped her arm over her eyes as she heard the explosion go off. The sound made her ears ring painfully.

She groaned and rolled over, pulling her flashlight out of her pocket she shined it on the group. The poor black haired girl (she forgot her name, ugh she was bad at names) was unconscious on the floor. Then she shined her light over on the elf whose eye was gushing blood.

She gasped, and covered her mouth with her hand, desperately holding back the bread she had eaten earlier. "Oh.. oh my.. are they going to be okay?" she asked. Now she stood up and walked back over the group careful not to flash her light on the floor and get another glimpse of the gore.
