My name is Jayme and I hail from GaiaOnline. I'm 22 and currently a junior in college. I came to Midorea to find a good community and I adore the avatars. The art on this site is stunning and I hope I make a good fit into the community.

| Oh right now I'm a senior in high school, and I'm just studying for my AP US History exam. But I will be going to school (hopefully) for Nursing ^^

| I hope you do well on your exam. History has always been a favorite subject of mine. I was originally going to college for it however, I switched since there isn't a lot of jobs out there for it.
Nursing is a good field to go into. I have two friends that are nurses and they seem to love their job.
I hope you have a good graduation!

| I have a friend pursuing a degree in history. She started out majoring in English, but she didn't like it as much.

| I was halfway through my history degree when I switched schools. I wanted to try and get into the anthropology program. Unfortunately they closed the program down once I switched and I couldn't find any suitable jobs that would go well with my degree with where I live (Colorado).
I hope your friend has better luck then me! History is such a important subject.

| I see. Looking into what sort of job your degree can get is important. I'm getting a degree in psychology. The job field looks alright for me, but I want to work with low-income families. A lot of places that provide help for them have been getting budget cuts, so who knows what things will look like when I graduate in three years.

| I think that is the scariest thing about school. Putting all your time and effort into getting a degree and not knowing if you'll be able to find a job suitable for that degree. I think as long as your passionate about your field you will have an easier time finding a job.
Psychology is an intense field. What you want to do sounds really cool. I hope you have an easy time finding a job.

| Right. Although having a degree at all will help with finding a job, so that's one good thing.
