Welcome to the Author's Lounge.

You enter a brick building, nothing of true significance. Truly, why did you enter such a boring building? Of course, you can't remember the color of the brick or even where you were headed before once you walk through the heavy wood door.

Inside, a decor of lush browns and reds pleases your eye. To your left is a small room with a glass wall, showcasing neat stacks of paper and pens and ink for typewriters and even rolls of parchment. Indeed, this is an odd place.

Do you continue right to the wooden check-in desk, destined to head up the red-carpeted spiral staircase, or do you return to your mundane to's-and-fro's?

Quote:
The Lounge is located along a busy street, in a little nook. The nook is lower than the street, so passerby only see the roof of the building.

The Lounge is three stories and consists of various reading and writing rooms. On the third floor is the main lounge, a living-room type place in whites and reds with a small kitchen near the doorway. Members are free to get coffee or a snack here, and sometimes a member will cook a meal!

Opposite the kitchen and doorway are a flat screen TV and a large coffee table, as well as a long couch and several loveseats and recliners. Scattered around are beanbag chairs and several borrowable laptops. Members may buy a laptop from the store downstairs.

Across from the kitchen, still on the back wall, is a hallway of private work rooms, whether you need a private chat or need to work on your own.

In the downstairs store, members may buy major necessities, but most things are free. Paper, pens, ink, etc. Typewriters are also available. We also offer food and such.

The second floor is full of private rooms in which to nap and work. You may claim an unclaimed room as your own. The last room down the left side of the hallway is taken by Tema as her own.

Welcome to the Author's Lounge.

On the desk in front of you is a clipboard with a feather quill in a pot of black ink beside it. On the paper you see a form, asking for your name, interests, and a short bio of your works. In smaller print underneath the form, there is a short note.
If you have little expirence or do not wish to share your work, that is perfectly ok. Please send your application to our dear leader and she will attend to you right away.

A tall woman dressed in dark colors with a notebook nestled into the crook of her arm and a cup of steaming tea in the other hand bustled down the stairs, gasping as she saw a figure standing there.
"Oh, Dear! Welcome to the Lounge! I hope you enjoy your stay."
She smiles warmly and gestures her tea at you in welcoming, bustling to the glass room and grabbing a stack of paper before escaping back up the stairs.
