If you love telling and solving riddles this is the place for you. Feel free to post any kind of riddle and we can all have a fun time trying to figure them out.
Please try not to post only answers but riddles too.
Here is the first riddle:

"In marble walls as white as milk,
lined with skin as soft as silk,
in a fountain crystal clear
a golden apple does appear,
no windows nor doors
to this stronghold,
yet thieves break in
and steal the gold.

The wave, over a wave, a weird thing I saw,
Through-wrought, and wonderful ornate:
A wonder on the waves, water become bone.

A McDonald's Cherry Berry Chiller Slushie?!??! 8DD

Uhm..-thinks- >_>;;
At McDonald's, you can order McNuggets in boxes of 6, 9 or 20.
By ordering 2 boxes of 6, you get 12 McNuggets. You canot order 13 since no combination of 6, 9, or 20 adds up to 13.
What is the greatest number of McNuggets that you cannot order??

When John was six years old he hammered a nail into his favorite tree to mark his height. Ten years later at age sixteen, John returned to see how much higher the nail was. If the tree grew by five centimeters each year, how much higher would the nail be?

Hmmm..... I think the trick here is that trees grow thicker as well as taller, so the nail shouldn't be visible.

I've got two!

Billy's mother has three children. One is named May, and the other is named April. What is the third child's name?

Once upon a time, a family lived in a strange house - it was entirely round. Its occupants were equally strange, though at a glance they would seem normal. There lived a mother, father, grandmother and three children, two boys and one girl. One day, the girl's parents were at work, her brothers were playing outside, and she was home alone with her grandmother, who was tidying up the house. By the time her family returned, the girl had disappeared. The grandmother, who was sweating heavily while she swept out the corners near the cupboard, insisted that the girl had not left the house, hadn't even left the room. What is going on here?

Billy is the answer to the first one there, but that last one has me stumped.

If I remember this right, it would not be any higher, because trees grow from the top, not the bottom. Right?

Well, I'm not entirely sure about this one, but what gets me is, how are there corners in an "entirely round" house? And, is the girl in the cupboard? I don't know, just a guess. :P

Is it wind?

I have a riddle too!
A long time ago, in the age of exploration, a ship of explorers was traveling home from the Arctic. To celebrate when they landed back home, they wanted to have a mutton feast (mutton is lamb, for those who don't know). However, they don't know how to keep it fresh to last the voyage home. It is too warm on the boat, so the meat would rot, but if they cast it off the back of the boat into the cold water, the fish will eat it. What should they do?
