Well, you can look at the Newcomers Help Center (and obviously the rules and all that). It's a bit old, and I know it looks like a giant wall of text, but it contains plenty of useful information about the site.
And if you can't find an answer to your questions, feel free to ask me, or pretty much anyone around. Our members are really friendly and generally don't mind answering newcomers' questions.
