yes, kk! come back to us and talk more! XD *feels like a hypocrite*

indeed, Chu. i agree :c in this case, it wasn't even that, though - it was just some idiot who doesn't understand the difference between constructive criticism/feedback and just slagging something off. it's ridiculous, the stupidity of some people.

and, the callousness of others...
i'm on the british server of a horse breeding game, right, and its a site that's kid-friendly, so obviously, no swearing. the rules itself tho, simply says "no swearing, if you're not sure if its a swear word, play it safe" - saying to play it safe is well and good, right, but surely it's still pretty open to interpretation? for me, if its a site where kids can join and play then i assume you can only say things that would be allowed in a PG certificate film. ie, "damn", "crap", "jerk" and nothing stronger, right?

so, without thinking, i said "oh, damn" in a post on the forum.
Next thing i know, i have someones going "eccofaery, DONT curse. If i could I would report you!"

i'm like... holy shit, dude. (i didn't write that, obviously XD) but i mean, seriously? you could have at least said "please don't use that word, i find it offensive. if you say it again, i'll report you" - that i could understand. but instantly jumping to the "report abuse" button over THAT?! it's just.... pathetic! and unkind! i've spent some real money on that site and i enjoy it there, i don't want to get punished over someone disagreeing with me over a silly little word, you know? especially when the rules are not set in stone - i even apologised to this girl and told her "i would edit the word out if i could" (there is no edit post feature) and for that, i was simply ignored.

some people are just real charmers, right? *fumes*

The community here is awesome~

Unlike Gaia, which has like ten million idjits running amok, I like pretty much everyone on here, even if I might disagree with their opinions on...well, anything.

Everyone here is mature, but can joke around/be playful and goofy without taking it waaaay overboard.

One example is from last year's Halloween event--monk, Syd and I were having a ball just goofing around, but no one got nasty about it. And that would've happened if that thread had been on Gaia. But it was here, so it was lots of fun and no one got their feelings hurt or something. Perhaps I'll hunt up the link for an even more clear example...

But the fact that the community is so small also helps. On Gaia, there's so many people that some feel sort of anonymous. On here, everyone either knows everyone else or will become known by everyone else. So if you're obnoxious, everyone finds out/figures it out really quickly. And having such a small, tight knit group isn't conducive to trolls, either, which is also really nice~

The events also make this place and its community come alive. Everyone just kinda comes outta the woodwork when there is one. It's helpful for new users, too, cuz then they can see just how friendly and goofy we all are here, haha.

TL;DR:
This place is awesome because we are small and close knit. I also should post more, cuz there are a handful of people I seem not to know DX
