Name: Alexis "Al" McCoy

Description: Alexis is tall for a woman, standing at 5'11", and weighs 150 lbs. With her athletic build, she is responsible for most of the heavy lifting. Her mother says she's got a pretty face, pretty enough that to her it's a wonder she's not married, but Al insists it's "Nuthin' special really. Brown skin. My pop would say, 'like coffee with hazelnut cream.'" She has brown eyes and wavy black hair, usually up in a loose bun. When worn down, it reaches to her rear almost. Al is also buxom, and while not terribly, more so than most. Enough to get more looks than she'd like while walking down the street. She wears her pop's wifebeater under a work jacket, jeans and work boots on the job.
Biography: ((story of your character)) Al has no recollection of where she was born. Her mother never told her, said she "didn't remember. I was half gone most of that day you realize!" Her Pop always said he'd tell her one day. Before he left for work one morning, Al begged him; I had to know. He told her he would when he got home from work, but he died on the job. She was 19. Despite her manner of dress and preferred nickname, Al is a woman, though her mom wishes she'd act like it more, saying "yer just like pop, strong, intimidating." Al fights on the Factory boxing circuit the workers put together, and she has pair of brass knuckles her pop got her for her 13th birthday. She broke a nose the day she got them, and her mother damn near had a fit. She currently works in the scrap yard of the metal works factory, doing heavy lifting. The job itself doesn't pay much, but the fights after hours cover most of her expenses and bills.

ok fine. I'll begin work on my character now. Is there anything special I should know about the rebel faction?

There's nothing special for now. The faction itself is keeping quiet, probably planning some wonderful plan to get rid of the government or something like that, but some smaller groups can still make some actions on their own. Apart that, well, they are rebels on the run, so they don't have access to as many things as some other factions (you know, clothes, weapons, etc.), although I guess with the time they have learned to build their own stuff or found some nice people in town to help them.

I was kinda puzzled with that at first too, but meh, I'm not sure how Thomas would look with goggles anyway XD

Mostly depends of what your character looks like and what he does. Like, does he need the goggles for his job or something, or does he simply wear them for the look?

one last question before I actually get started with this profile. In settings like this, often times there is magic, whether it's begin slowly suffocated by the progression of science or growing along side it, or even just looked upon as old and out-dated. (i.e. Final fantasy VI)

Does this hold true or is this a strictly mechanical setting?

Mostly mechanical setting. Although, anything that can't be explained by sciences (by that I mean the sciences known on Hederia at the time) would look like magic... So you know, magnetism, electricity (at least some things related to it), some healing with plants things, stuff like that. But yeah, mostly mechanical.
