Yeah, I have a character that's not... immortal, per se, but I don't know what to call it.

She has lived for about 200 years, and is eternally 22, but she can die. It is possible to kill her- be it with a gun, knife, poison, disease, starvation... she would die. She just can't die of old age.

So tell me, Midorea- what would you call that?

Immortal for me means that someone/creature cannot die, get harmed, sick, etc.

If it refers to one or more aspect of immortality, I usually specify by saying they have eternal life and or beauty. Also consider that immortal beings can die, like the gods, but it would take another being of the same level (another god) to do it.

*shrugs* That my take on it anyway. I think that if you define your version of immortality, then the reader/audience understands from then on out what you mean by a character being immortal.

I kinda agree with Gladde. The term immortal generally refers to "true" immortal, but as long as you define what you mean by it somewhere at the beginning, people will know that it's not their standard definition and will understand the rest.

You could say something like semi-mortal or some other word that implies half mortal. Or you can just make a word up.

You could say ageless - though I agree with Maeve. As long as you explain, just immortal is fine.

I ended up using "Soulbound" to describe it, because her life depends on the life of another.

Thanks for your help, though!
