Death visits me at the crack of dawn
When the sky is the color of happiness…
Of lightness…
Of childhood.

I ask of Death, “Would you give me your love?”
Death responds, “Would you give me your death?”

Oh, Death, your icy kiss upon my brow
Your heartless laugh at my despair
Oh, Death, your eyes of pitch, so cold
Your bony fingers touch my hair

Death visits me when the night is still
As the sky becomes cold as your heart
As cold as the moon…
As cold as the stars.

I ask of Death, “Would you grant me my wish?”
Death responds, “Would you grant me your life?”

Oh, Love, my life is ending fast
My heart ceased to beat again
Oh, Love, my eyes are closing, closing
So long, my friend, this is the end

As I feel this last bite of terror
Ah…
‘Tis then I see my error

My error, you see, was to expect things of the world
My error, you see, was to do nothing to help myself
My error, you see, was to stand by and let others take the blame

Was that, in the end, I had no one to turn to
No one to help
No one to call
No one

I ask of Death, “I’ve made a grave mistake! I want to live!”
“I want to live!”
“Please, let me live…”
And Death responds…

I absolutely love it! I can't write a good poem to same my life. That's very good. Mind me asking if it has any personal meaning behind it or if it's just kinda random?

I don't know. It was a very long time ago, I can't remember why I wrote it. I think it was during one of my oh-my-god-my-life-sucks moments.
