The thread where you post moments in your life that lead you to ask "Does this make me weird/dirty/omgwtfiswrongwithme"
I'm you Original Poster, Overlord Branny! HooYAA!
I'll be posting the first wtf for the thread, actually, this is THE story that made me create this thread.
Here we go.
------
So I was sitting in front of the tv, flipping through the channels, cause lets be honest, I don't watch tv much anymore cus it bores me. Anyways, I'm going up the channels and suddenly I'm bombarded by loud yelling from the mouth of a holy man.
Now I don't remember what channel this was and I don't know what his name was...but let me tell you this, no offense to you religious folk out there and especially to you Christians....but ya'll can scare the FUCK OUT OF ME SOMETIMES.
I got this preacher screaming at me...he's saying things like "Repent sinners, for you have sinned and you have commented deeds that go against his holy father in heaven and you need saving. WHORES AND HOMOSEXUALS (Yes, he did refer homosexuals with whores) and beggers of cheap thrills need to repent most...for you are the dirties of sinners (I can't remember EXACTLY what he was saying but you get the picture) and blah blah sinner blah filthy sinner...
And finally he stops beating his bible and yelling filthy whores and beggers at the screen and kinda just stares off at the camera...and the first thing that utters out of my mouth is..
"Oh father Daniels, I love it when you talk dirty to me before.."
LMAOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I also like to note that my mother was kinda in the room too and she looks up from her trashy romance novel and is just like...what did you say..and I'm already rolling on the couch laughing at myself..LMAO!!
I know he wasn't a priest but...come on...that was just too funny..
Ahhhhh...anyways...I know I'm weird....Oh turn me on holy man.. LMAO!
Does anyone have some stories to tell? lol
*Giggles*

| All right.
See, when I was a kid and had my first introduction to (the watered down version of) Greek mythology, I kind of got a little bit obsessed with Medusa. I don't know why. I just thought she was awesome.
This obsession has waxed and waned over the years but never gone away. And so any sort of reference to Medusa (especially ones related to her turning people to stone, which has become another weird obsession of mine) tends to make me happier than it should (to the point where I have actually squee'd out loud and confused the heck out of anyone around me at the time.)
Oh, and I actually made a cloth Medusa doll. Let me tell you making snake hair is not easy.
Yeah I'd say that might count as weird.

| Okay, there's a lot of things that make me weird. But here's one of my favorite stories.
A friend came over to my house to get something, so I was leading her through my living room. Now, my man does halloween setups as a hobby, so in the middle of the room is a folding table with a coffin on it. This is normal for me, so I just walk on by. But my friend stops, looks in the coffin and says, "What the hell?!"
I haven't looked, but I know that the last time I paid attention, there was one of our life-sized anatomical-grade skeletons was in it. So I say, "What, it's just a skeleton." And I come over to see what set her off.
The skeleton was gone, but its legs remained behind. I blink for a second and say, "Well, he couldn't have gotten very far."

| Okay. I like music. Lots of music. Background, loud, whatever. As long as I have it playing, I can usually work without going insane.
As of twenty minutes ago, I finally managed to sort out all the bloody music that's been sitting in my computer into neat and somewhat manageble folders.
While doing so, I stumbled across a couple folders of music that I don't recognize. All I know is that it's all from videogames. It's all been translated from Japanese to English to something else and back and forth so many times that the only things that come up in the title bar are random symbols and mismatched letters.
And yet I still enjoy them. I'm usually a lot more anal about what I listen to. But here I am enjoying something I don't know. Is that odd?

| Let's see... I play Pokemon, participate in Rock n Roll Worship (Christian style, with a dancing scottsman as one of our pastors), am an amateur computer animator and graphic artist, aspiring webcomic artist, and enjoys a select few anime and such. Does that make me weird?

| I can't listen to something if there's another noise in the room. Like, I'll pause tv (dvr is my most favorite invention ever) if someone is having a loud phone conversation or if someone's making noise in general because I can't understand both things at once. I won't listen to the conversation (if it -is- a conversation) like people think I do.. I just space out until the noise is gone and I can listen to my program again. @_@
Or people will think I'm ignoring them in loud/crowded rooms because I'm not hearing them but only the 'roar' that the crowd makes..
That totally makes me weird xD;
another weird thing I have that isn't so weird is impulsive behavior.. stupid shit when I'm not paying attention/when I'm really sleepy.. Like one time, I was eating lunch with a group of friends (a looo~ong time ago, ahhh), and all of the sudden the ham sandwich I was eating was on the ground next to a friend.. o-o apparently I'd thrown it at her @A@;

| Okay, here's something that started pestering me as of late.
It's very rare that I'll not remember a dream. I have lucid dreams, you see. And I've managed to develop some pretty spectacular abilities in what I call the Dreamscape. I've had to. Most of my dreams involve monsters, mysteries, daring adventures, or just plain random people out to kill me or someone I know. So my choices were to die every night, (which used to happen) or kick ass. Now I take it all in stride. Heck, sometimes I become a fairly nightmarish being myself. But that's not what's bugging me. (Though I've been told that it probably should.)
It's the dreams that don't involve anything fantastic that have been bothering me. They could have been pulled out of the waking world, considering how realistic they are. No crazies out to get me or mine. No powers. And certainly no dying. I hate them so much. The worst ones involve going (back) to school.
How is it that I can be bugged by something as mundane as that? Does that make me wierd?

| I can sympathize with the spacers in this thread. I've often gone to the wrong class because I'll forget where I'm walking, notice a familiar landmark, and go to the class nearest that.
It's a little embarrassing.
Hmm...When I was seven, I spent most of my time watching documentaries, and I still remember much of the information. As a matter of fact, it was the television that gave me "The Talk" (the first time my dad caught me watching The Miracle Of Life, he turned it off. The second time, he made me sit through it with him, and then asked me if I had any questions. To this day, I still probably know more about the reproductive system than my parents.)
Oh, I also have to justify text before I print it out to be turned in, and I can't ride a bike.
(That's not to mention the really weird stuff, though.)

| Gah @Overlord Branny
I know just what you mean! I'm neither religious nor christian (although my quote "religious views/ faith" do follow most christian guidelines)
I absolutely cant stand those loud mouthed "god warrior" preachers (anyone else see that wife swap episode?) They make me embarrassed for my "religion" those poor blokes give "christians a bad name"
I- personally- dont believe in 'converting' people, I figure hey if we're getting along and your doing your thing and I'm doing mine then we're good. If you just so happened to be interested in my stuff then great I'll share, but yelling my guts out at you for not worshiping my God is absurd. Idiots.
ANYWAY
things that make me weird:
I like Lasagna with my pumpkin pie (in the same bite)
and Hershey's chocolate with my stringcheeze (no lie, and if you like to try new things give it a shot )
I (not unlike most people) got addicted to WOW in college, and not only did I drop out but I quit playing wow after that because I just wasn't interested. XD
I LOVE pixel art, there for I am a base hoarder (I promise I dont take w/o permission, and i've never posted anything taken w/o proper credit)
I have alot... probably in the 100s of bases. Is that sad or what?
It gets worse, you know how people will have photobucket albums FULL of anime? Yea, I have paint files... full... of anime. Their so big I cant fit them all on my flash drive, and they take a whole minute to save... I am terrible.
