What song are you currently listening to?

I want to know what song you're listening to. There's a twist, though. I
want to know what it means to you, how you see it. Or I want to know
when you first heard the song. All I'm saying is, I want more than, "Oh,
I'm listening to This Song by Blah Blah Blah THE BAND."

Right now, I'm listening to Belong by R.E.M. This song always makes me
cry, but I think almost every R.E.M. song I've heard has made me cry at
one time or another. It keeps mentioning the creatures going out to sea,
breaking through the barricade. That represents freedom to me, yet
there's this mother telling her child to belong in response to these
creatures. The most interesting thing about this song to me is that it
shows everything in a neutral light.

I think the mother is one of those creatures, and that maybe she has to
go with the other creatures, she has to leave. But she wants her child to
belong where she couldn't. I'm not sure what the creatures are, if they're
just people with a different way of thinking from the rest of society or if
they're actually creatures, like District 9. I'm not really sure it matters. I
think it only matters what they stand for, though I'm not sure what that is,
if anything. They don't have to stand for anything for the song to have a
full message.

Okay. See, you guys don't have to say as much as I did. If nobody else
cares to do this, I'll keep going with it, though I think it would be fun to
have more people with me. Look at it this way: even if you don't really
care for talking about songs, you can still get silver, right? Some incentive
there, I guess.

Currently i've been listening to 2 songs quite a lot:

Konstantine - Something Corporate
Rewind - Diane Birch
(linked both to youtube so people can listen if they want, both are genuinely awesome songs)

typically and its probably a cliche, but i relate both to my love life right now. rewind by diane birch is almost a direct fit, whereas with konstantine its more like the general feeling the song gives, and certain lines, rather than the whole song. can you tell things arent going so great for me right now? OTL heh.

My cousin and I consider this song a kind of theme of ours. Plus, this song makes me smile all over whenever I listen to it. And just so you guys out there know, the Nerd Girls aren't as hard to find as people think! They just gotta look in the right places.

I'm in love with the quality of her voice and the over all feel of the song.

I have to say that it reminds me of relationships long over, its like she put her all into a relationship and her partner just let all her efforts go to waste, till she couldn't take it anymore...at least that how I feel about it.

I was listening to Two Faced Lovers, Akita Neru version. (BTW, she's not human......) I really like the techno sound of this song. But it puzzles me that the music is upbeat, but the lyrics are kinda.......not really sad, but more of frustrated.
