| The man had looked puzzled, even concerned. Silver was tempted to take his hand, but the spotted female pulled him back. She was thankful. How could she forget? She knew what would have happened. Just one touch was all it ever took.Silver stood up somberly, blue tears filled her eyes and rolled down her pale cheeks, she never wanted to hurt anyone or anything , she just wanted what they had,a taste of life. She sighed hoping they would at least listen to her.
"They call me Silver. Silver Mourrabelle. They told me to follow the morning star to 'Lupus' the lone wolf. Ive lost my way. Where are the stars brightest in your world?"

| Moses was shocked at the catgirl's sudden reaction. "What? I was only trying to help her!" He thought about putting his hand out again, but then paused. If she pulled him back, there was most likely a good reason.
He still, though, took a step forward. "My name is Moses. Moses Holdfast of the Silver Wolf Clan. I wish I could help you, Miss Silver, but I've never been very good at reading the stars." He shrugged.

| Isrena looked at them both in confusion. If only she could speak the human language... She glared at the strange woman, wondering where she came from.

| Silver tried to concentrate on what the man callled Moses was saying, but her head throbbed, the voices weren't any louder and she still couldn't understand them. But something strange was happening, they usually spoke with a certain unity, now the unity was broken and a commotion of voices stirred inside her head. The pain was unbearable and before she knew it she was falling, falling deep into unconsciousness.
Silver walked, the pathway was irregular and seemed to never end. The whole atmosphere had a surreal dream like quality to it. She was certain she wasn't awake, and kept on walking.

| Isrena pulled back her bow, pointing it towards the woman. She was about to let go of the arrow when her head-ache came back, buzzing in her head worse than ever. She dropped her bow and pressed her hands to her head, roaring. Everything was spinning. Then she started hearing a voice. The voice was joined by others. She closed her eyes and shook her head, trying to get rid of them.

| Moses wondered exactly why the other two were acting so strangely, but then he heard the whispers. Slowly, their voices crescendoed into a chaotic cacophony that drowned out every other sound. He looked at the others. Did they hear them, too? Moses decided that the best thing to do would be to lie down in the grass until they faded away. He sighed, not bothering to act dramatically and clap his hands over his ears. The best thing to do now was to wait until they went away.

| Silver woke up abruptly, the dream, or was it a vision, had made everything clear. She hadn't just stumbled upon these two by coincidence. The spirits had led her to them. If she was going to find the cure, she needed them to aid her, how, she didn't know, but they were the cornerstones of her journey. Her magic wasn't useful, simply enchanting them would be fruitless. Everyone has a desire. She could help them with their desires in return, and form some sort of...alliance. Moses seemed like the most amiable of the two. He lay on the grass and Silver knew why.
"Excuse me, Moses. Moses, you said you wish could help me and you can."Silver knelt next him. As she spoke her eyes darted between him and the spotted female.

| Moses's brow furrowed. The voices were fading again, but he knew that they'd be back eventually. They faded just in time, though, for him to hear the woman speak to him. He looked at her. "And how can you help me? Unless you know the sources of the voices, I'm not in need of any help at the moment." He shrugged.
Of course, he was lying. He knew that the humans would be after him eventually. They hated losing one of their best fighters, and he sure didn't want to be dragged back to that hellhole he used to live in. He would do his best to stay away from that place for as long as possible, until he could find a way to liberate the rest of his people. But what could three people do?

| Isrena growled in annoyance and frustration for she could not understand a word of what they spoke. Why does their language have to be so srange? It's like a different world out of this jungle. Then she had an idea. She tried to gesture for them to stay here and to be silent, then sped off. Of course, why hadn't she thought of him before? He would help her. He was always curious about the humans and he would understand why she had kept them alive. She hoped.

| Silver sighed. If the spotted female had been gesturing her to be silent, that was madness. She was trying to explain things and it was a matter of her life and her death. The spotted female had indicated she was going to come back. Silver swallowed, if she didn't then she couldn't find the cure. Although for now she was relieved she had gone, there was no knowing how she would react to the magic that she wanted to demonstrate to Moses. At least if Moses panicked she could communicate and assure him she meant no harm.
She began chanting in a strange tongue. The ground shook, the soil parted and a frosted willow rose from beneath it. Snow flakes came about and soon a snowstorm surged around them.Silver spoke."I don't know the source, but why don't we find it together? I think im a magician of some sort i dont know, well i do things."She swept a hand across the snow covered ground. "Also you might not like this but if were in danger and we need protection i can kill."Silver removed her cloak. The poison had spread to her hands, and blue veins infested them. "This poison,it allows me to kill with a single touch,im not proud of it. Thats why i need the cure. Its killing me.Help me.If not for yourself, out of kindness..."
She had taken the chance to trust Moses and even told him about the poison. If Moses decided to tell other humans, then she was doomed. The magic had worn her out she slumped onto the ground, put on her cloak and waited for him to decide her fate.

| Moses was faced with a dilemma, finally realizing why the other woman had forced him back. A poison... he wasn't the best with medicines. Yes, he could bandage a wound in a pinch, but that's because daily life demanded he knew that. Treating poison, though, was a completely alien process. He couldn't just leave her, though. That would be cruel.
"I... I really wish I could help cure you, but I don't know what to do." He thought. There was the medicine woman who had helped him escape, but he wasn't sure if he should take her to the city. "But I know somebody that may be able to help you if you can go in public." They had to wait for their feline friend first. Hopefully she was a few steps ahead of them and there was some bizarre jungle cure that he didn't know anything about.

| 'Elder Engi?' asked Isrena, peering into the tree-house. A tall and old male was sitting cross-legged on the floor. He seemed like he had been deep in concentration, and opened an eye when he heard her voice. 'Yes?'
'Erm... I wanted to ask you.... Please don't tell the others... Um, I met a- a human, see. Well, two humans.'
Engi's calm expression didn't change. 'But they um... They don't smell like humans, you see. One of them smells more wild than most, and the- the other...' She shuddered. 'I... I don't know what she smells like.'
'And there is something else, isn't there?'
'Well... yes. Um... When I tried to kill them, I got a head-ache. And the... uh... head-ache, it turned into voices.'
Engi's eyebrows rose. 'You have the gift? Interesting.'
'But Elder Engi, what should I do with the humans? Should I trust them and go along with them? I know you speak some human, so maybe you could translate what they're saying?'
Engi gave her a faint smile. 'Do what you think is best. I cannot go tailing you around half the country doing who-knows-what. I'm far too old for that anymore.'
Isrena grimaced. She was about to leave when she stopped. 'Wait, what gift?'
'The gift of hearing.'
Confused, Isrena went away, heading back towards the humans.
She hoped they had stayed silent as she had tried to ask them to, because many animals in the jungle were dangerous, and would attack anyone careless enough. And she hoped none of them could do anything out of the ordinary, for animals were remarkable at percieving the slightest changes in Nature's pattern.
