Exchanging Currencies

I’m sure we all see the “option” to exchange silver or copper for gold, or vice versa, but we also know that you cannot do this. Will there be a plan for this in the future or not?

My view on it is to not allow this, simply because gold is meant to be obtained through donating, and merely getting a lot of copper or silver shouldn’t be able to get you gold. I suggest that this and other unobtainable features (like certain skills) be temporarily taken away, at least until they’re actually active and usable. They've already caused quite a bit of confusion in new and old members alike.

I think you also shouldn't be able to exchange silver and copper to gold,since the people are buying the gold with their hard earned money,and probably won't be happy if everybody can get some now.

You can only exchange copper to silver, nothing else. What are you talking about?

So i think it was a preemptive strike to explain the negatives of buying gold with silver.

@Cat: I know that, but the options still show up on the page even though they're not active. What's the point of them being there, and causing confusion, if you can't use them?

I don't know why they show up, but it says they cannot be converted so why would it cause confusion?

Normally people wouldn't be confused but people still ask questions about it, which I admit it odd. :/

But there's no way to absolutely take those off of the page?

No, php doesn't work that way. perhaps I could figure out a way to not display currencies that cannot be converted.
I have no idea how that would work though...
