| *I've been playing a lot of guys lately. If I could be a girl, that would be great*
My old thread is...old. So, I'm making this one. THIS ONE will include pairings! =D Please don't be intimidated. I know it's long, but I'm not mean, I promise!
My Roleplay Style:
- I like nice, short posts - generally five sentences or less. I can deal with more, though I may just get bored, but I love less. One-liners are no problem for me: I adore them. If you can't deal with that, there are plenty of people on here who love novels.
- I love dialogue. Like, love. Conversations are awesome. Now, I will have some characters that talk less than others and some characters that talk more, but still - conversation is really cool.
- I started out roleplaying in person. As a result, I want to preserve an air of reality in my roleplays. For that reason, I tend not to put down my character's thoughts - I like those coming out through dialogue. It prefers that feeling of reality for me.
- I don't like describing scenery much. I prefer putting more effort into what the characters are doing. Scenery is just boring for me. That said, I'll usually describe a new area, but not in huge detail most of the time.
My Preferences, and My Dos and Don'ts:
- I tend to get bored if our characters hate each other. I identify quite a bit with my characters, and like you don't want to spend time with someone you hate, so I don't keep my characters around characters they hate.
- I want to be friends with my partners. I like OOC conversation! Anything goes. If you have a story that relates to the post, tell me! If you have a funny anecdote about writing the post, like you forgot something or invented something on the spur of the moment, tell me! I'll tell you, too. It'll be nice to be friends =D
- I'd like for you to have a good knowledge of grammar. That means knowing how to construct a sentence and knowing the difference between there/their/they're, to/too/two, etc. However, I won't ask you to correct everything unless your posts get completely incomprehensible.
- That said, we all make spelling errors, typos, and the occasional grammatical error. I make them, too (I'm a terrible speller). I won't harp on you for minor errors, and I hope you won't harp on me for mine. I use a spell-checker, but even those aren't perfect.
- I'm Canadian. You may be, or you may not be. Therefore, if we're doing a realistic roleplay, I like to keep the location undefined - we conveniently don't mention the city, province (or possibly state), or country we're in.
- I can play both boys and girls.
- I don't like religion coming into roleplays. That includes religious symbols, places of worship, praying, afterlife, etc.
- I don't do fandom roleplays, though I'm not against taking inspiration from a fandom.
- That said, I hate Twilight, and any of it coming into a roleplay - including sparkling vampires or talk about the characters - earns you a sharp rebuke.
- I'm bored with vampires. See above for why.
- I do a bit of Yaoi/Yuri, but mostly Het. If I do do Yaoi, no male pregnancies.
- I can roleplay through threads, e-mail (not preferred), PM (not preferred) MSN, or AIM. When I roleplay through IM, I use script format. You don't have to.
Genres:
- Fantasy, either Medieval or modern
- Realistic
- Some sci-fi, but not much
- Maybe historical, but you'd have to convince me
Pairings (In bold, I can do/Would prefer to do; bold and italicised, I will only do; normal, no preference):
Medieval fantasy pairings:
- Thief x Thief
- Thief x Ordinary person
- Thief x Princess <-- Note: This one is really popular. I've gotten a lot of offers for it, though only one has stuck out into a long-term roleplay. I'll be willing to do a couple more, but have some other favourites ready just in case.

Plot!
#1:
Our two characters aren't exactly spies, but that doesn't matter to the organisation that picks us up. Our mission - get close to a young woman (or teenage girl, depending on how old we make our characters) who has the power to destroy the world. We must gain her trust, act like we'll always support her, but in the end, we have to destroy her.
#2:
What happens in Vegas doesn't necessarily stay in Vegas...not when you wake up and discover you married the stranger lying in the bed beside you. Now, as you try and sort out your new life, you have to wonder what had prompted you to bind yourself to this person, who's name you don't even know...
*Note: Las Vegas is the only location in this roleplay that's going to be defined. Our characters are visitors to Sin City and their home towns aren't named, nor is it said where they end up settling with each other.
#3:
They were the hottest person in the club, the one who grabbed your attention instantly. You both had a few drinks, and got to know each other, and that was supposed to be it. Oh, you exchanged phone numbers, but you didn't think you'd ever see each other again - until, that is, you found out a baby was the result...
#4:
She was always always bullied, always different, for as long as she could remember. When she moved to a new school, she swore she'd change that. When the good-looking, popular boy sat next to her in the cafeteria and began talking to her, she lied, pretending she was like everybody else. Eventually, though, he found out...what would he think of her then?
#5:
"I'm sorry. I'm leaving you. Jaydan's coming with me. It'll be better this way, trust me."
And with those words, she left, the son you had with her bundled in her arms. There were problems in the marriage, yes, but you never expected it to come to this. You haven't seen or talked to your son in seven years. Now, out of the blue, a letter arrives announcing you've received full custody of the now-ten-year-old boy. After years of being alone, how easy will it be to adjust when you're suddenly thrust into fatherhood once again?
***I will be playing Jaydan***

| Jeez, you just can't stick to a small handful of roleplays, you need to go all out. Kind of like me.
I like the idea of some of the suggested. However, we already have two roleplays together. I think you'd get bored of my company, or go insane, if I suggested anything else.

| Glad you like them. I'm rather fond of them myself. (As they are all small aspects of myself)
Anyhoo. We already have the single parent x random person going. And they are getting along nicely, if not a bit awkwardly. I honestly feel like I suck at parings. Whether or not you feel the same is your business. You don't need to say how bad I am at it if you don't want to.
I'll drop you a line with the pairings I'm interested in.

| All righty. I just put the pairings down to give people a guideline. I hadn't done it before 'cause I thought it would be a pain in the neck (and quite honestly it is), but now that it's down there, I feel good. Mostly 'cause I found out the maximum amount of silver you can earn for a post on this forum is 100 silver, and I earned that with that post.

Hi. Hmm, just a notice, I'm a pretty big noob to roleplaying, so I apologize in advance if I do something silly. Segue!
Ehh, these would be the pairings I'd be most interested in;
Runaway x Ordinary Person
Runaway x Runaway
Ghost x Living Person
And then, ah, possibly...
Demon x Human
Student x Student
Et voila! (: I have to get off the lappy until tomorrow, so... I'll... get back to you when I can. Heh.

| Yay; runaways sound pretty delicious right now. ... In the non-creepy way. Y'know.
Anyways.
Do you have any plots in mind?... Runaway or demon, either or. (:
