pixel artists?

I have to admit, this is a purely selfish "help" request and I am sorry if you would rather I have placed this in a chat forum of some sort.

But... I am quite jealous of the pixel artists on sites like these. I wouldn't even know where to begin in creating these items.

Is there a tutorial anywhere about it? Is it very difficult?

I'm not going to lie, pixel art is by far the hardest form of digital art.
What really helped me was to save a few dolls that I liked, open them in paint and zoom in. It really helps you when your stuck on how to color certain things. :3
