| I don't know about other people here, but I have a tendency to have some really strange, drugged up dreams. If anyone has similar experiences and would like to share, I'm more than willing to listen!
I suppose to start with I should share one of mine. This is a dream I consider my greatest achievement, pretty much.
Alright:
I was with a group of four friends. We went to this hotel place. Somehow, within our vacation, an evil overlord took over the world with his sentient, carnivorous, bus minions. My friends were all killed and I escaped into the forests. I met up with a hobo, who ended up freezing to death, and I was captured by a pink haired wizard named Count Monty. His son, however, was in love with me and freed me. He also provided me with a very bizarre looking weapon to fight with. After a romantic parting, I went to my neighbors house, but they refused to have anything to do with me. So I journeyed to the street and hung onto the side of one of the carnivorous buses, until I arrived at the evil overlords lair. There, I tried to kill him, but could not because my weapon was made of plastic. So, I went to go get one made of metal, but before I left, He jammed this thing into my chest that connected him to me with a few wires. Later on, at the smithy I went to, I found out it enabled us to have telepathic communications. Our conversation went as such:
"So, How about hedgehogs?"
"What do mean, asking me about hedgehogs! Your an evil overlord for pete's sakes!"
"Yes, well, I had to make sure it was working properly. But in all honesty, the question still stands".
And then I woke up.
I swear this was a real dream, it was really odd. It was only after that, that I found out hedgehogs in dreams mean losing your soul.
Now all of my friends constantly make fun of me for "Selling my soul to the devil" as they put it. Ah well.
You're turns!

| I had this one dream last year that was REALLY concerning.
It started off that Earth had been conquered by genetically engineered corn and veggies [they were actually huge and scary and underground and such]. Me, my mother and my sister were being held in one of the cells set apart for people. My mother was strapped down to the bed, and she couldn't move. For the most part, she seemed comatose. My sister wasn't tied down to the bed, but was sort of connected to the floor somehow. I was on a bed but I wasn't fastened correctly and found out that I could get up if I wanted to.
Just as I realized this, an alarm started blaring and, in my dream, I knew that this meant it was time for another periodic feeding. You see, the evil plants would rise from the ground [remember I said they were underground] and reach up and grab people from each room to feed on. The people in the rooms would be dragged underground and killed unless they could escape.
So I leaped up from my bed and both my mother and sister were shocked. My mother seemed to wake up and motioned for me to run away. My sister, on the other hand, started yelling at me to save them. I was confused and scared with the siren still ringing in my ear when I heard footsteps approaching the room. The beds had been rigged so that when anyone got up, the guards would be alerted. So they were coming for me. Hearing them, I ran under the bed I had jumped up from and waited for them to enter.
So they unlocked the door and stormed in. While they were looking for me, the plants had already begun to feed. Panicked, I crawled from under the bed and tried to get to my mother, but the floor between us had become electrified. She looked at me again and motioned for me to run, so I ran for the door while my sister tried to escape as well; but she couldn't get free.
Seeing me almost out the door, my sister started screaming and yelling that I was getting away. The guards heard her and came after me. I woke shaking up with both of us viciously yelling at each "Why did you give me away?!?!" over and over again while our mother got eaten by the plants.
I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THIS MEANT

| I LOVE analyzing dreams.
I'm going to give it a shot with the two of you, but unfortunately, it may not turn out right since I don't know either of you properly.
@Cougati: It seems to me that you're afraid of losing control; of being dominated by someone or something and bending to their will. However, on the other side of the coin, you kind of want to give up and let them take control.
@Glimpse: Wow, that's odd.
I think that you fear a sedentary lifestyle, or maybe you're noticing it in your mother and sister. Maybe you, or them, are not exercising enough, or eating properly, and even though you want to help them, or yourself, you really feel that you just can't be bothered by it. You may also feel that there's really no way to help them, or yourself. (Sorry if the them/yourself thing was confusing.)
However, the vegetables could relate to something else entirely; from fertility to dullness to modesty, it really depends on you and your state of living.

| My most recent dream was right out of a video game. o__- Some evil darkness was spreading across the world and I had to defeat a bunch of monsters in order to restore an area.
My weirdest dream would be the one where I went to the beach with my sister and her boyfriend and I killed him by slapping him repeatedly with a dead fish.

| OH MAN REN
I was really serious while reading your comment until you got to the part about the dead fish. Then I just starting giggling because of the mental image [not the...dead boyfriend part ...the flailing around with a giant dead fish part.]
@Chu Oh wow Chu that actually makes sense when I think about how I was last year. I was noticing it in my mother and me. And I definitely was not exercising properly, but I just felt this lack of emotion that kept me from really DOING anything productive.
Also, that dream may eventually give me a vegetable phobia if I keep remembering it.

| Yay. XD *does a jig* It's been a while since I've analyzed a dream.
Well, have things changed recently? I know how you felt about it; lately I've been gaining fat around my thighs and stomach and even though I'm a stick I want to get rid of it, but I really feel no motivation to exercise.
Lately, my dreams have only consisted of darkness and a single emotion. Last night, it was lonliness, but I think it's just because I fell asleep while doing homework, and didn't get to say goodnight to my boyfriend like I usually do.

| @Glimpse: That is one awesome dream there. I mean, that rivals mine in complexity. *high five* I would say, from a glance, that you were struggling with independence, wanting to be yourself, but not wanting to give up everything else you had, or disappoint other people. But I could be wrong.
@Chu: That's pretty accurate for my day to day life. I love to dominate situations, but anyone more dominate in personality than me, I bow down instantly. However, when I analyzed this myself, I felt it meant (for a variety of reasons) that I was conforming to much to others demands, and if I kept going in the same way, I would no longer be an individual, hence "losing my soul". I acted on that meaning, and I'm a much happier person now. Who says dreams can't be helpful?
Also, dreams about one emotion are the most straightforward, aren't they? It's normally just something currently bothering you in your waking state.
@Ren: Well, I don't really have anything to say, other than the fish thing is pretty cool. And it reminds me of this couple in the middle of no-where. They immigrated from some other country, and the guy ended up killing his wife with a frozen squirrel they had saved up to be part of dinner. Weird. Sorry I have no in depth psychological mumbo-jumbo to tell you about your dreams. XD
But I finally got some responses, hooray! I'm so glad, I was beginning to think no one would reply.

| I have some really strange dreams. x.x
Once I dreamed that I was a squirrel, and I started to run around, trying to dodge of cars then suddenly I find this mega mushroom and I turn huge. Then I start to go all godzilla and breathe fire, but then I get shot down D:
I should really lay off the video games xDDD

| I was just too tired to read this at four am. XD
That would make sense. And yeah, dreams are extremely helpful when you feel lost or confused. They're the only things to look at when you need an honest answer.
Yes, they are. Honestly I think the reason that I have those dreams is because I already undersatand my dreams as such simplistic things that there's really nothing to cloud my interpretations of them. I've always believed that dreams are the gateway to our souls.

| @Mella: Dude. Squirrel-zilla. So cool. Once I dreamed I was a penguin, and I was so convinced I could fly that I jumped off a cliff. It did not end well. And yes, I think laying off the video games might be a good thing.
@Chu: Hahaha. Well, I don't blame you for that, then. XD They're wonderful. I'm not sure what I believe dreams are, but, like fortune telling, they can be helpful when you allow them to be.
That could well be. So, you have a Freudian approach to dreams, then?

| I believe in a lot of things - lately I've gotten back into astrology, an age-old obsession of mine from third grade. XD It's expanded into personology though, which has almostkindasorta led me to want to research Sigmund Freud.
Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I haven't even scratched the surface of my research (Heh, independent research by the way. Since last summer. > w>; ) on Freud, so I couldn't tell you what my ideas follow and how they connect with his. I've kind of thought of things on my own throughout life, pieced them together, and added aspects of various cultures/religions to it.
Like Taoism. I added a lot of that to my core beliefs because I followed that type of lifestyle for my entire life, but never put it into words. Now if someone asks me I can just sum it up by saying it's similar to Taoism.

| Well, you and I are pretty alike then! I have a huge interest in astrology, astronomy, and everything else. I do some minor tarot readings, and magic (good luck charms and the like) but I wouldn't really call myself a witch. So I guess I just have my own religion. aha....
Well, that's not a problem. I mean, it's not as if your ideas have to be exactly as someone else's. If that were the case, they wouldn't be your ideas anymore would they?
Huh. What's the basis of Taoism? I have heard of it, but I've never done any research into it or anything...

| @Cougati *high five* That fits into my life as well! How do you guys know me so well? :O
@Chu I agree that dreams are a sort of window into our unconscious souls, but sometimes it's just so hard and unsettling to actually sit down and analyze your own dreams! That's why I'm glad you did it for me, Chu ;D
I'm almost certain that there are words in existence to describe every feeling, situation and belief. It's just hard to find those words sometimes. x) I'm glad you kind of found a word for your lifestyle, Chu! Taoism. Hm. Maybe I'm a Humanitarian? D:
EDIT: I'm curious too actually! What's Taoism all about?
@Mella Hahah, games actually have had an influence over my dreams a few times. Very creepy, to say the least!! But Squirrel-zilla has GOT to be one of the best video-game-dreams ever. x)
EDIT: @Cougati
I was agnostic for the longest time, religion-wise. Then atheist. Then Christian. Then agnostic. Then atheist again. Now Episcopalian.
Now I'm content admitting that I'm just a bit confused and little scared. I've got some time to figure it out [I hope] I'm still just 17. x)

| @glimpse: For the first six years of life, I was baptist. Then I came to the realization one day after sunday school..."people can't walk on water". After that, I was an Atheist for...years. Then I started saying I was wiccan, then I was an agnostic (my mom says I was an "indifferent agnostic" I didn't know whether God existed and I didn't really care anyway) lol...now I'm...what ever it is I am.
I'm myself, I follow the religion of Teeghanism. ahahahaha. But I really think being yourself is the most important thing, so you don't have to rush into a way of belief. They change all the time.
And as for knowing you well, you said yourself dreams are a glimpse into the unconscious mind. So, is it surprising?

I had a friend that I'd known for years but haven't talked to for a while. I recently found out he was Baptist. For a while, I started thinking of him differently. Then I realized that he was the exact same person I used to know, only a Baptist. So I totally get what you're saying about being yourself being the most important thing. (:
EDIT: Cougati, your avatar looks different! But I can't figure out what changed! I like it!
